Ornamental fish farming

HEL-X biocarrier are also used in ornamental fish farming.

With a small footprint, you can provide a large organic area with optimal degradation performance and achieve high degradation rates.
In ornamental fish farming, a distinction is made between floating bed and fixed bed methods.

Floating bed process

In the floating bed process, the smaller HEL-X biocarrier are ideally used.
These are swirled by air or the appropriate flow in the filter chamber and thus remain almost maintenance-free.
The small fillers in particular have a very high surface area.

Fixed bed process

For users who prefer to use their HEL-X biocarrier statically, the following sizes are just right.
The HEL-X biocarrier are introduced without moving and only minimally ventilated in order to provide the bacteria with a sufficient supply of oxygen.
Static filter chambers are not maintenance-free and should be checked regularly.
